The Altar Servers assist the Presider at all Masses including weekday Mass, weekend Mass, Holy Days of Obligation and Funerals.  Altar Servers also assist at Stations of the Cross during the Lenten Season.  This ministry is open to young people of all ages from fourth grade and up who have been baptized in the Catholic faith and have made their First Holy Communion.

The necessary training is conducted by Father Valdemar Maciag on a bi-weekly basis. Meetings are held on Wednesday, early dismissal days for both public school students and Saint Paul's School students.   Meeting times are 2:30 - 3:30 PM in the Saint Paul's School Cafeteria for servers and from 3:30 - 4:00 PM for parents.  Parents of servers must be available for monthly parent meetings with Father Maciag to coordinate their children's service in the ministry.  These meetings, both training meetings for the servers, and support meetings for the parents, are critical for the proper formation of the servers.  The ability of parents to provide follow through and support at home of what is taught by Father Maciag will further help the servers to become witnesses for their faith and impact positively not only on their peers but on the congregation who observes them during Mass.
